Sports Massage Therapy - Level 1 Certificate

Prerequisite: Certificate IV or Diploma of Anatomy and Physiology and Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy from this college or equivalent qualification from an approved college.

College site: Blacktown Campus.

This course is a must for those who intend to work seriously with the rehabilitation of their client's injuries - sports related or not. An integration of theoretical principles is involved, as well as practical application of the latest techniques of practitioner quality intervention. The course will cover the following:

Identification of injury and assessment
Specific test use in same rehabilitation program to aid recovery
Contraindications
Basic corrective exercises and
Specific remedial sports massage therapy.

This is a comprehensive course and has a continuing learning process leading to a Diploma of Sports Massage Therapy -Certificate IV.
