Prerequisite - Certificate IV or Diploma of Anatomy and Physiology and Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy from this college or equivalent qualification from an approved college.


Duration: 1x 3 hrs. and 30 min. lecture per week for 6 weeks.
Time: 6pm - 9.30pm - Thursday
College site: Blacktown Campus.

This course is a must for those who intend to work seriously with the rehabilitation of their client's injuries - sports related or not. An integration of theoritical principles is involved, as well as practical application of the latest techniques of practitioner quality intervention. The course will cover the following:

 

  • Identification of injury and assessment
  • Specific test use in same rehabilitation program to aid recovery
  • Contraindications
  • Basic corrective exercises and
  • Specific remedial sports massage therapy.


This is a comprehensive course and has a continuing learning process leading to a Diploma of Sports Massage Therapy -Certificate IV.
