Level I Certificate and Elective

Prerequisite - Certificate IV or Diploma of Anatomy and Physiology and Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy from this college or equivalent qualification from an approved college.
Duration: 1 x 3 hrs.and 30 min. lecture per week for 6 weeks.
Time: 6pm - 9.30pm - Thursday
College Site: Blacktown Campus.

Certificate of Attendance - 1x 6 hour workshop for 2 Sundays. Blacktown Campus.

This course enables the student and participant to learn the fundamental understanding of how baby and pregnancy massage can benefit from a therapeutic touch, when to perform a therapeutic interventions, the amount of pressure required and for how long it may required. This will also enable therapist to alleviate a wide range of discomfort, the physical and emotional trauma between mother and baby during the stages of pregnancy, and during stages of labour. Attendance to this course will provide student and participant the basic knowledge of therapeutic intervention leading to a continuing education to a Diploma of Baby and Pregnancy Massage Therapy - Certificate IV.
